Data Deletion

How to ask us to delete your personal data, what gets removed, and how long it takes.

Last updated: 17 September 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of personal data held by Tivda, a WhatsApp commerce service operated by JINADARI (PVT) LTD (PV00297698), Sri Lanka. It applies to shop owners who use Tivda, and to customers who message a shop through Tivda.

1. Who to contact

Send your deletion request to either channel below. Please use the same phone number or email that you used with the shop, so we can find your records.

If you are a customer, you can also ask the shop you messaged. Shops can submit a deletion request to us on your behalf, and we action it.

2. What we need from you

3. What we delete

On a verified request we delete, or irreversibly anonymise:

4. What we may need to keep

Some records must be retained to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, or to resolve an open dispute. This is limited to what the law requires, and typically means:

Where we must keep a record, we restrict it to the minimum needed and it is not used for marketing. We will tell you plainly if this applies to your request.

5. How long it takes

We acknowledge requests promptly and complete verified deletions within 30 days. If a request is complex we will tell you why and give you a date.

6. If you signed in to a Tivda shop app with Facebook

If you used Facebook or Meta login with a shop running on Tivda, you can remove the app from your Facebook settings at any time. Removing the app stops further data collection. To have data already held deleted, send a request using the channels in section 1 above.
